Advertising Opportunities
The Greater Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce is The Voice of Business in our community. We work with and on behalf of our member companies to promote the economic diversity of our community and to promote it as a business friendly community.
Our members support the Chamber and the community in a variety of ways. Sponsorships of our events and advertising in our materials are two of those opportunities. Contact the Chamber office at 250-756-1191 for details on any of these opportunities.
Chamber Roster / Calendar. The Greater Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce Roster is your business resource. Including monthly calendar pages and a complete directory of Chamber members, your Chamber Roster is a highly sought-after networking tool, making it an excellent advertising medium. One roster is distributed to every active Chamber member each year. Put your streamer or display ad in the Roster and introduce your business to Chamber members all year round!
Chamber Website. Promote your business across the internet via the Nanaimo Community Portal – the creative solution for getting your business message out!
Newsline. The Newsline is the monthly voice of the Chamber designed to inform members and the business community about Chamber events, training opportunities, new members, and to offer insightful articles. Starting in September 2009, the Newsline will be an on-line version on our website. Advertising in the Newsline is available; rates are TBA. Monday Morning Email. Send your business message to the membership at large via email. Book a transmission date to correspond with your next promotion or special event and get the word out to our members for $75 + GST. Dates are available on a first come first served basis.
Chamber Monthly Mail-Out. For the reasonable price of $299 + GST, your one-page insert, pamphlet or letter will reach just under 1000 mailboxes.

Direct Voice “ON HOLD” Advertising. Turn Hold-time into SOLD-time with your professionally recorded ad on the Chamber telephone system. The Chamber receives a high volume of inquiries on a daily basis – help callers learn about your business while they are on hold. This service is FREE to NEW members for 3 months.
Display your business card or pamphlet. Members of the Greater Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce can display their business cards or pamphlets at our Chamber office. There is no cost for this service. We rotate the cards and pamphlets on a regular basis to allow all members wanting this service to be included.
Business after Business and Business before Business. These networking events are an ideal way to showcase your business. Business after Business events are held on the fourth Thursday of every month (except August and December) from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Business before Business is held quarterly from 7:30 – 8:30 am. Each event is hosted by a different Chamber member. The Host gets a short write-up in the Newsline, on the Chamber website and the event is promoted by the Chamber. These very popular events are booked up to 2 years in advance, so call now to get your business on the list.
Luncheon Sponsorship. Present your message to a captive audience at one of our Chamber luncheons*. Gain visibility for your business banner, place your flyer at each place setting, and take 5 minutes at the podium to share your message with the membership.

Sponsorships. The Chamber operates several initiatives throughout the year, all of which offer unique sponsorship opportunities allowing you to promote your business and to support programs or events.
