Highway Signage

As a result of the decline in rubber wheel traffic into the city following the opening of the Parkway, the Province of BC implemented a pilot project to allow Chambers of Commerce to construct highway signage within strict guidelines.

After many months of work with the Ministry of transportation & Highways, the first sign is up and functional at Aulds Road (exit 28).  With the completion of the Aulds Road sign, we are beginning the work to erect 3 more signs:  Mostar, Northfield and Jinglepot exits.

These signs are designed to direct travelers to businesses providing basic needs within a 3 km radius of the highway exit.  Businesses providing food, lodging and fuel are permitted to advertise on these signs and we invite interested businesses to contact the Chamber office for further information, (250) 756-1191.
